Posted on October 10th, 2005 in Pocket PC
6th Sense Communcations has introduced a location-based personal networking service that enables users to find people in ther local proximity that they might want to meet. The service combines Bluetooth, a smartphone client application, and “sophisticated” server technology to match proximate user profiles, according to the company.
When activated on a mobile phone, 6th Sense scans the local surroundings to find other users with similar profiles, says the company. Users are notified of potential matches, and can preview matched profiles on their mobile phone as a precursor to a face-to-face meeting.
