Using Quicktime to convert movies for viewing on the vx8100
Posted on August 24th, 2005 in Cell Phones
By using QuickTime Pro 7.1 you can convert movies to 3g2 format, export them and transfer them to a mini SD card using a reader hooked to your computer. Put the converted movies in MY FLIX folder. It takes about 11Mb for every 20 minutes of video. The videos play and look great on the phone. Oh! and by the way, we did this on a mac but I’m sure it can also be done on a PC.
When using the export option, pick MOVIE TO 3G and from the OPTIONS MENU:
FILE FORMAT: 3GPP2
DATA RATE: 64kbits
IMAGE SIZE: 176X144
FRAME RATE:15
KEY FRAME: Every 24 frames.
